The study on human-machine interface (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) was conducted by <em>Control<\/em><em> Engineering<\/em> to obtain insights from automation engineering professionals on brand awareness, purchasing behavior and current and future trends related to control systems.<\/p>\n<p>Study sample was selected from qualified <em>Control<\/em><em> Engineering<\/em> media subscribers with valid email addresses involved in the purchase or specification HMI, PLCs and\/or SCADA systems. Commentary and insights on the research and related topics will be offered during the webcast, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/event.webcasts.com\/starthere.jsp?ei=1665651&amp;tp_key=ae32c4145d&amp;sti=ce-website\">Research review: Control systems, HMI, SCADA and PLCs<\/a>.\u201d Webcast audience can interact via a poll and question-and-answer session. I would&#8217;ve guessed closer to 20%. This might be because such a large portion of respondents come from small companies, which are usually more open. The pandemic and its supply chain issues may also have an impact, since people weren&#8217;t able to get what they were used to.
