ODVA introduced an initiative to enhance research on emerging technologies, refine planning and prioritization, and improve operations. Technologies include\u00a0Single Pair Ethernet (SPE), standardized information models, artificial intelligence, open technologies, vendor interoperability, safety and security.\u00a0This effort follows a review process initiated by ODVA\u2019s board of directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ODVA Board of Directors is responsible for strategic planning and governance. It includes senior executives from major industrial automation companies. In the 24th term, the board members are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mr. Franz Durmeier, head of digital integration, Endress+Hauser Process Solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Jon DeSouza, president and CEO, HARTING Americas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Toshiyuki Shigehisa,&nbsp;general manager, Drive Product Management Group&nbsp;for OMRON<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Davis Mathews, president, Industry Management &amp; Automation, Phoenix Contact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Thomas Petersen, senior director, fieldbus and system integration, Danfoss<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Brian Reynolds, CTO, Projects &amp; Automation Solutions, Honeywell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Andr\u00e9 Uhl, vice president, technology and architecture, Industry Automation Business, Schneider Electric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Scott Miller, vice president, digital and platform technologies, Rockwell Automation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ODVA\u2019s corporate leadership develops and implements the strategic plan, manages technology development and publication and associated specifications, and handles organizational governance. In it\u2019s 24th term, ODVA\u2019s corporate officers are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Al Beydoun, president and executive director<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ms. Adrienne Meyer, vice president of operations and membership<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Christopher Lynch, corporate secretary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Scott Miller, treasurer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Joakim Wiberg, chief technology officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ODVA\u2019s Technical Review Board (TRB) manages technology and standards, including approving changes to ODVA specifications, which include the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) and its network adaptations, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.controleng.com\/ethernet-ip-concurrent-connections-now-provides-cip-safety-for-industrial-networks-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EtherNet\/IP<\/a> and DeviceNet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its 24th&nbsp;term, ODVA\u2019s TRB representatives are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mr. Joakim Wiberg, chair, ODVA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Raj Bandekar, Honeywell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Arulkumar Karuppanagounder, Schneider Electric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Torben Bertelsen, Danfoss<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. J\u00f6rg Reinkensmeier, Endress+Hauser<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Gregory Majcher, Rockwell Automation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Kai Michel, Hilscher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Toshiyuki Ozaki, OMRON<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ODVA\u2019s Market Advisory Committee (MAC) evaluates ODVA technologies, including their global and regional adoption and utilization.
