{"id":130220,"date":"2023-06-29T19:48:20","date_gmt":"2023-06-30T00:48:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.controleng.com\/products\/uno-r4\/"},"modified":"2025-04-24T12:16:43","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T17:16:43","slug":"uno-r4","status":"publish","type":"products","link":"https:\/\/www.controleng.com\/products\/uno-r4\/","title":{"rendered":"UNO R4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UNO R4 is the latest update of Arduino&#8217;s next-generation UNO board, a significant revision of its 8-bit technology.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Powered by a 32-bit microcontroller, the new UNO\u00a0R4 comes in two versions: the basic UNO R4 Minima and comprehensive UNO R4 WiFi, meeting the budgetary and creative needs of the maker community.<\/p>\n<p>Preserving the standard form factor, shield compatibility and 5 V power supply of the popular UNO\u00a0R3, the UNO\u00a0R4 adds a <span style=\"background-color: transparent\">32-bit microcontroller with up to 16x the clock speed, memory and flash storage with the integration of the <\/span>RA4M1 processor from Renesas. <span style=\"background-color: transparent\">Based on an Arm\u00ae Cortex\u00ae-M4 core, the RA4M1 microcontroller on the Arduino UNO R4 features a clock speed of 48 MHz for higher processing power. To accommodate more complex projects, the UNO R4 is fitted with 32 kB of SRAM and 256 kB of flash memory. Plus, the Arm\u00ae Cortex\u00ae-M4 core features a Floating Point Unit (FPU), bringing a huge performance boost for certain applications. Software scalability is also supported on the new board, allowing easy upgrades for projects made with UNO R3 or Leonardo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent\">The UNO R4 WiFi version comes with an Espressif ESP32-S3 module for Wi-Fi\u00ae and Bluetooth\u00ae Low Energy connectivity.
